• You are super excited that you can understand
a conversation that a Spanish family is having
at a table near you in a restaurant.
Unfortunately, the family doesn’t seem very
happy with the waiter. Listen to their
conversation and find out what each family
member is upset about. Write their
complaints in ENGLISH.

• Abuelo- Mi bistec es horrible. Necesito sal.
Pero, no hay sal ni pimienta en la mesa.
• Abuela- Creo que mi vaso esta sucio. Necesito
otro vaso por favor.
• Hijo- Tengo mucha hambre y quiero comer el
helado. Pero, no tengo una cuchara.

una servilleta tambien. No me gusta este
restaurante porque el servicio aqui no es muy
bueno.
• Madre- Que asco. Mi sopa esta fria. Tambien, no

• Padre- Que ridiculo! La cuenta esta incorrecta. No
venimos aqui en el futuro.

• With a partner, pretend that you are at a restaurant.
Unfortunately, the server keeps forgetting things.
-One person plays the role of the waiter and takes away
an item.
-The other person needs to play the role of the customer.
The customer will close their eyes while the waiter
takes away something. Then the customer needs to
open their eyes and say what is missing using one of
the phrases from today in Spanish.
-Do this with all of the items. Then switch roles.
