OBJECTS OF KIWANIS
WE ARE MEMBERS OF KIWANIS IN ORDER……..
• To give primacy to the human & spiritual rather than the material values of life.

INVOCATION
Heavenly Father:
Help us to do our very best this day, not by
worrying about whether we are right but by
doing the right thing. May we understand that
the roots of happiness grow deepest in the soil
of service. And now bless this food to our use
and us to Your service. Amen
From: “Invocations for Kiwanis Occasions” by James J. Muench
OUR
SUCCESSFUL ROSE SALE !
Thanks to everyone who helped make our Mother’s Day Rose Sale a big success. We had approximately 250 rose orders.
Thanks to Harry Schnabel for the beautiful roses and for delivering them to us on time Friday morning. We had a good turnout of
Kiwanians who packaged the roses for delivery, and had a lot of fun.
Special thanks to the Rose Sale Committee, George and Kitty Goodloe, John Bates, and Lal Ramdeen. We also would like
to recognize 4 people that sold the most rose orders, over 1/3 of the total sold ! – John Bates, Max Booke, Dan Kuchta, and
Carl Krouch. Good job!

KIWANIS EDUCATION
English is the official language of Kiwanis International. However, key
administrative and program literature is published in up to 13 languages, and
simultaneous interpretation is provided at International conventions when
required by a sufficient number of members.
June 2 – BOD Meeting, Fleet Landing, 12 Noon
June 14 – Penman Road Clean Up, Penman Winn Dixie, 8:30 AM
June 26 - 29 - Kiwanis International Convention, Orlando, Fl
Aug 21-24 - Fl District Convention, Hyatt Regency Jax Riverfront
Jim Lee is organizing a fundraiser for Aug. 2nd. The
idea is a pancake breakfast with a football theme. We
are in search of a venue, such as a church,
restaurant or banquet hall to host our event. Also, we
could use any help in procuring "notable" sports
personalities to come and speak to our crowd.
