2. The EU Info Campaign

Launched by the SAP Project in April 2006, for six
months, in cooperation with the implementing technical
partner KOHA Group.


Implementation carried out by the Sofreco consortium in
close co-operation with the beneficiary, the Agency for
European Integration (AEI), under the guidance of the
EAR, the EC Liaison Office and the EU Pillar IV of
UNMIK.

A. Opinion polls


Initial Opinion poll: showed the state of EU
awareness in Kosovo and highlighted some of
the main issues in need of attention throughout
the Campaign.
Termination Opinion poll: will evaluate the effect
of the Campaign.

B. Newspaper Inserts




23 Inserts of 8 pages
28.940 issues per week (25.715 in Albanian / 3.225 in
Serbian)
Distributed through major newspapers and private
distributors to the General Public and directly to the
PISG
Subjects: Kosovo and the EU/EU and the Region /
EU institutions and policies

C. Audio-video production



Animated video clip (15 sec): broadcasted in two
languages ten days in a row on three national TVs and
two local stations broadcasting in Serbian, twice a day at
prime-time.
Acted video clip (25 sec): same schedule foreseen
Radio jingle: broadcasted in three languages during
one month on 4 radios through Kosovo.

D. Leaflets
 A first leaflet was prepared by the AEI at the
occasion of Europe Day. Printed in 6.000 copies
(5.000 Albanian / 1.000 Serbian), it was
distributed by the AEI through the Ministry of
Education.
 Three or four more issues are planned until the
end of the Info Campaign for a total of 40.000
leaflets.

E. Posters and billboards
 30 bilingual billboards posted through Kosovo
 10.000 posters – replicas of the billboards –
distributed in the municipalities of Kosovo.

F. Artistic Competition – Mural



A competitive artistic competition was organised which
aimed at raising EU awareness between Kosovo young
artists.
Out of 13 proposals, the winning group of artists was
chosen by an independent and professional selection
committee.
The competition resulted in the painting of a mural on
a EU theme in the students centre of Prishtina.

E. Electronic database

An electronic database is being prepared which
contains all the outputs of the EU Info Campaign.

