To be promoted to 9th grade

You must pass 5 of 6 classes (using the end of year
average).

Pass reading and math sections of the CRCT
To be promoted to the 10th grade

You must pass 10 classes = 5 units
 3 of the 5 units must be in core areas

(English, Math, Science, Social Studies and
World Languages)
Each time you fail a course, you place
yourself at risk of not graduating on time.
Number of courses taken

* 7 courses each day

*Students earn .5 units per course


* 3.5 units per semester ~ there are 2
semesters in a school year

Progress reports are sent home at 4.5 weeks,
9 weeks, and 13.5 weeks.

Report cards are sent home at the end of
each 18 weeks; at the end of the First and at
the end of the Second semester. These are
final course grades.

** Students must PASS all EOCT tests to meet
graduation requirements.
** There is one diploma type for all students
(High School Diploma)
** All students are required to complete a total of 23 units:







4 units of English/Language Arts
4 units of Science
4 units of Math
3 units of Social Studies
3 units required from: Foreign Language and/or CTAE and/or
Fine Arts for all students
4 additional electives
1 unit in Health/Personal Fitness Education or 3 years of JROTC

“No Zero Policy” – Teachers recommend students that
have zeros to stay after school on Friday to make up
assignments.
