Differences Between Halal
and Kosher Foods
1. Islam prohibits intoxicants, including alcohol, liquors
and wines, whereas in Judaism alcohol and wine are
kosher. So kosher foods can contain alcohol. For Islam
such foods would be considered haram.
2. Gelatin is considered kosher by Jews but not by
Muslims.
3. Kosher practice does not require Jews to pronounce the
name of God on the animals while slaughtering, but
Muslims must pronounce the name of Allah on all animals
while in the act of slaughtering.

Making Today Count for Eternity
(Kent Crockett, 2001, pp. 161)
The attitude of gratitude is important for several
reasons:
1. Thankfulness acknowledges that God is our provider;
2. Thankfulness prevents a complaining spirit;
3. Thankfulness creates a positive outlook on life;
4. Thankfulness invites joy to dwell in our hearts

the glory of God and the soul's refreshment;
where this is not remembered there is no real
